Job Description

At Jacobs, we do more than design roads. We provide innovative transportation solutions that improve safety, enhance mobility, and connect communities to shape how people live, travel, and thrive. Our Highway Team is seeking a Highway Engineer to join our team in Milwaukee or Madison, Wisconsin. When you join us, you'll be responsible for:
  • Developing roadway and highway designs that meet WisDOT standards
  • Preparing detailed plans and documentation, and utilizing both Bentley and Autodesk design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bentley OpenRoads.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale transportation projects that improve mobility, enhance safety, and connect communities across Wisconsin. LM1236
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Transportation focus preferred).
  • 3+ years of roadway design experience, ideally on WisDOT projects.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Proficiency in CADD/Design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred; Bentley experience a plus).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with WisDOT design standards and federal roadway guidelines.
