Traffic EngineerLocation Milwaukee, WIWe are currently seeking a Traffic Engineer with experience in Highway/Roadway planning and design principles. Job Description DetailsDesign and develop traffic control systems, including signals, signage, and roadway layoutsDevelop transportation plans and design transportation systems that improve safety and mobilityConduct traffic studies and analyze data to assess current conditions and forecast future needsUtilize AutoCAD and other design software to create detailed engineering plansAssist in the development of system designs that improve traffic flow and safetyEngage in transportation planning initiatives to support sustainable developmentWork with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budgetPrepare technical reports, specifications, and design documentationOversee and lead projects, including project planning, design and implementation, and closeoutConduct site visits and field investigations as neededRequirementsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related fieldProfessional Engineer (PE) license5+ years of experience in traffic engineeringFamiliarity with transportation planning concepts and methodologiesProject management experienceStrong technical writing and presentation skillsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsExperience with AutoCAD, SYNCHRO, VISSIM, or SIDRAAbility to collaborate with other engineers, city planners, and the public to develop transportation solutionsStrong decision-making skills, flexibility, focus on quality, and attention to detail
