Location:
 Leeds, AL (Relocation available on a case-by-case basis for strong candidates)
Salary Range:
 $80,000 - $100,000 +

 Direct Hire | Full-Time | On-Site Job Summary Our client, a well-established manufacturing organization, is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to support production quality, quality systems, and supplier quality within a busy plant environment in Leeds, Alabama. This role is ideal for a degreed engineer who enjoys working on the plant floor, leading structured problem-solving efforts, and using data-driven analysis to drive measurable improvements in product quality and manufacturing performance. The Quality Engineer will partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to reduce defects, improve process capability, strengthen quality systems, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills & Qualifications Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:
  •  Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required — no exceptions)
  •  3-5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with SPC, capability studies, and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)
  • Proven experience leading root cause investigations using structured methodologies such as 8D or RCA
  • Experience supporting Supplier Quality activities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings clearly
  • Experience working within 
ISO 9001
2015 or equivalent Quality Management Systems
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship Preferred Skills & Qualifications The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
  • Experience with PFMEA, DFMEA, APQP, or quality planning
  • Experience supporting New Product Development (NPD)
  • Familiarity with CAPA processes and corrective action systems
  • Internal auditing experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing calibration systems, tooling, or inspection equipment
  • Spanish bilingual ability is a plus Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Monitor, audit, and evaluate live production processes on the manufacturing floor
  • Lead and participate in 8D and root cause investigations for product or process issues
  • Analyze quality data (SPC, MSA, capability) to improve PPM, scrap, and FPY metrics
  • Identify, contain, and resolve nonconforming material issues
  • Develop, revise, and maintain quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions
  • Support ISO compliance and internal audit activities
  • Maintain calibration systems and quality-related tooling or inspection equipment
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain Physical and Environment Requirements Physical expectations and working conditions associated with the role may include standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods and working within a manufacturing / plant-floor environment.
Occasional lifting of materials or equipment may be required depending on operational needs. Travel up to 10% (domestic and occasional international) may be required. Company Benefits & Culture
