Full Job Description Basic Job Purpose:
Ensure processes and products adhere to customer, company, and industry quality standards. A quality engineer is responsible for the generation of a strategic plan to improve the business processes and increase production output. Duties include creating the company's quality standards and testing systems to reflect efficiency, reliability and performance. Quality engineers are also responsible for the creation of documentation that reports issues and errors relating to the production process with efforts placed to find a solution.
Assignment of Functions or Duties:
Interfaces with customers, suppliers, and with other departments within the company to identify and resolve quality-related issues and ensure Customer Satisfaction. Coordinate MRB activities for relevant product lines. Develop APQP documentation including Process Flows, FMEAs, and Control Plans, including updates as required. Define and/or develop appropriate inspection method/plans including the use of relevant statistical techniques. Coordinate process/product improvements using 6-sigma, 8D, and other improvement tools. Evaluate First Article submissions, both internal and from suppliers. Participate in defining and/or updating quality assurance policies and procedures. When requested, conduct audits of processes of ArmorWorks' QMS. When requested, conduct training on quality assurance concepts and tools.
MUST BE A US PERSON ELIGIBLE TO WORK FOR ANY EMPLOYER IN THE UNITED STATES
Required BS degree in Quality, Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience. Working knowledge of basic and advanced Quality Tools (Ishikawa Diagram, Control Charts, Multi-legged 5-Why's, 8D, Root Cause / Corrective Action, etc.). Ability to read and properly interpret drawings/specifications. Must be proficient in GD&T and have hands-on experience with standard measuring equipment. High proficiency in ERP systems, CAD, QA Software, and Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to correlate statistical data to process, product and material properties that influence the data. Knowledge of statistical tools and measurement systems analysis is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to work efficiently in a team environment. Thorough knowledge of

2015 or
AS9100D, AS9102
FAIs, AIAG PPAPs. Must read, write and speak fluently in English. Preferred Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance in a metal fabrication, welding, machining, or assembly environment preferred.
