1st Belcan is actively seeking to hire a Quality Engineer to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. You will be responsible for applying knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and AS9110 quality management systems to ensure compliance and product integrity. You will analyze nonconformities and design issues in internally produced products and processes, and provide clear, actionable recommendations for corrective actions. You will lead escape management activities, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely completion of effective corrective actions. In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally to support and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough quality investigations and coordinate the communication of failure analysis reports with stakeholders.
- Analyze and report on Quality Data, driving quality improvements and operational efficiency.
- Lead and coordinate Quality meetings with stakeholders to advance investigations and reach effective conclusions.
- Mentor team members on quality-related issues, fostering a collaborative and proactive quality culture.
- Perform Customer Return Material - CRM investigations as required
- Support Site Quality Engineering roles and responsibilities.
Essential Qualifications:
- A bachelor"s degree in manufacturing or electrical engineering or relevant discipline.
- Computer savvy; experience with MRP, ERP, and SAP
- Proficient in data analysis, with a keen ability to identify trends, root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Strong communication skills, capable of effectively coordinating with stakeholders and leading quality discussions
- Independent and motivated, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment requiring minimal supervision.
- Team-oriented, with a belief in the power of collaboration and teamwork.
- Due to the nature of the work, US citizenship is required.
Highly Desired Skills:
- Prior experience in electronic manufacturing and/or electronic assembly environments.
- Background in Aerospace manufacturing a plus.
- Lean Six Sigma certification a plus.
