The company is guided by the principles of winning-with-integrity, performance, value-creation, and customer satisfaction. We are looking for a Sr. Quality & CI Engineer. The Sr. Quality & CI Engineer is responsible for supporting production through engineering change protocols, product requalification's, and data-driven quality improvements. This role serves as the face of the company for customer interactions related to production support and acts as the voice of the customer within internal teams. The Senior QE will address customer complaints, and drive corrective and preventive actions while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Sr. Quality & CI Engineer is responsible for driving a culture of Continuous Improvement (CI) across manufacturing operations through Lean methodologies, structured problem solving, waste reduction, process optimization, and data-driven decision making.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for the following duties which are performed personally: Quality System Ownership
- Own and drive site quality performance including KPIs such as RPPM, DPPM, COPQ, scrap, yield, and customer returns
- Develop, maintain, and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with regulatory standards
- Develop and standardize quality procedures and control plans Customer Quality Leadership
- Serve as the primary quality interface for customers
- Lead customer complaint investigations using A3 and/or DMAIC
- Manage scorecards, and corrective actions
- Establish a multi-site audit plan\ Continuous Improvement Leadership
- Lead site-wide and cross-site Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction.
- Facilitate Lean Manufacturing activities including Kaizen events, process mapping, standard work development, and waste elimination.
- Utilize Six Sigma methodologies and statistical analysis to improve process capability and reduce variation.
- Drive operational excellence initiatives that improve throughput, yield, cycle time, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Champion a culture of problem-solving and accountability through structured CI tools and coaching.
- Develop visual management systems and KPI dashboards to monitor operational performance.
- Partner with Operations and Engineering to identify and implement productivity and cost-saving opportunities.
- Lead Value Stream Mapping (VSM) exercises to identify bottlenecks and process inefficiencies.
- Support implementation of mistake-proofing (Poka-Yoke) and risk reduction strategies.
- Promote employee engagement in CI activities and facilitate cross-functional improvement workshops. Root Cause Corrective Actions
- Lead root cause investigations using A3, DMAIC, and 5 Whys
- Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Analyze quality trends and manufacturing data to proactively identify systemic issues and improvement opportunities.
- Drive sustainable corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with effectiveness verification and measurable KPI improvement.
- Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving teams to eliminate recurring defects and reduce COPQ. Production Process Quality
- Support manufacturing with engineering changes and validation
- Implement SPC and process capability monitoring Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with relavent DOT and CFR regulations
- Lead and support internal and external audits/customer site visits Leadership
- Lead cross-functional initiatives
- Mentor operations staff
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in quality or equivalent experience.
- ASQ CQE certification is a plus.
- Preferred 5 years of experience in Quality and/or CI with a minimum of one year in a manufacturing production setting.
- In depth knowledge and understanding of contract manufacturing processes; knowledge of inspection methods, measuring equipment, and validation protocols.
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Experience leading Continuous Improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, SPC, process capability studies, and data-driven decision making.
- Experience facilitating Kaizen events and cross-functional improvement teams.
- Working knowledge of Lean tools including 5S, visual management, standardized work, and Value Stream Mapping.
- To be able to perform daily tasks safely; to work independently with limited supervision; To be able to effectively apply problem solving techniques and work with customers, vendors and other departments; to manage multiple priorities. Language and Communication Skills
