Quality Engineer Job Description The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, compliance, and robustness of precision injection molded components used in medical device and life science applications. This role supports new product introductions, process validation, and ongoing production quality. The Quality Engineer leads dimensional metrology activities, supports validation studies, performs statistical analysis of manufacturing performance, and collaborates closely with engineering, tooling, and operations teams to ensure products consistently meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements. The position operates within a regulated manufacturing environment and supports compliance with ISO and applicable medical device quality system standards. Essential Skills Audit Tooling Metrology Injection molding GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) First article inspection Interpreting engineering drawings Developing inspection plans Hand calculations Measurement strategies Quality engineering Manufacturing quality Supplier quality CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) ISO compliance Measurement System Analysis Validation Micrometer usage Additional Skills & Qualifications 5+ years in tooling 5+ years in injection molding 5+ years in metrology 3+ years reading GD&T 5+ years in inspection Ability to perform hand calibrations using a gage pin and micrometer Proficiency in part print reading and GD&T Ability to analyze 2D parts to 3D Experience in developing validation processes and protocols Work Environment This position is on-site with a Monday to Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Daily stand-up meetings occur at 7:30 AM, where the metrology status and validations are reported. The role involves working closely with the quality manager and technician, engaging in client problem-solving, and collaborating with motivated, cross-functional engineering teams. The work environment is a lab setting, and the company operates 24/5. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Scottsdale, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
