Job Description
Verigon LLC has an exciting opportunity as we grow the company for an experienced, self-motivated, results oriented Quality Engineer to develop and maintain quality assurance standards and processes. The Quality Engineer will develop common business specific quality measurements and track improvement against these metrics. The Quality Engineer may interface with customers and suppliers as it pertains to quality related issues.
Qualifications/Skills:
Associate's degree. 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or experience in a related position preferred. Experience with printed circuit board build processes and surface mount manufacturing, specifically within the defense/aerospace and medical industries preferred. Strong problem solving and computer skills using Microsoft Office a must. Ability to understand customer specifications, IPC-A-610 requirements and company standards and verify the same in the finished product. Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat. Experience in a customer quality and/or supplier quality role. Strong interpersonal and communication written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization in English. US Citizenship or Permanent Resident required.Responsibilities:
- Assists quality in providing manufacturing support. Review and analyze internal defect data. Support the follow-up of internal and external corrective action responses. Assist the with in-process inspection record collection.
- Monitors and assists quality issues found in production.
- Contributes to continuous process improvement efforts to reduce scrap and cycle times. Work from various documents in multiple formats/media (specification, process sheets, ECN's), written, and verbal instruction.
- Runs tests and experiments, gathers and sorts data, writes reports and summaries.
