JOB TITLE

Validation Engineer DUTIES:

• Perform in-process and final inspections of vehicles to verify compliance with engineering specifications, wiring schematics, and build documentation
• Identify and document quality issues in electrical systems and mechanical assemblies
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and production staff to investigate and resolve defects or process deviations
• Conduct functional testing of installed systems (e.g., lighting, electronics, HVAC) using diagnostic tools and meters
• Ensure adherence to company workmanship standards, customer specifications, and industry regulations
• Maintain accurate inspection records, quality logs, and defect reports
• Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes
• Assist in developing quality procedures, inspection checklists, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Recommend process improvements and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure safety protocols and clean workspaces are maintained during inspections

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of Associates degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Automotive, General Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 12 months experience quality control responsibility in

ISO 9001

compliant manufacturing environment; including integral involvement with improving production processes and product development and developing detailed production process documentation

• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including 12V components, to be assessed in the interview
• Proficient in reading schematic diagrams and using diagnostic test equipment such as multimeters, as demonstrated by 12 months experience in a workplace setting
• Proficient in MS Office and digital form template use-as demonstrated by 12 months experience using in a workplace setting
• Frequent outdoor work as part of job duties
• Must have ability to routinely perform duties that require standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Work is performed in a production facility with regular exposure to noise and hazardous materials that must be mitigated with safety equipment and adherence to safety procedures
• Requires pre-hire and random drug testing and pre-hire criminal background check, as permitted under California labor law; position has full-facility 24/7 key access;
• International or U.S. driver's license valid for driving in California and ability to obtain California driver's license within 30 days of hire;
• In-person job; work on late evening shifts is occasionally required to meet production deadlines
• 5% domestic travel
• Foreign degree equivalent to U.
