Job Description

AXILLON AEROSPACE
is a leading provider of complex, highly engineered composite and polymer solutions for demanding commercial and defense applications. Comprised of five, purpose-built centers of excellence throughout the USA and Mexico, each strategically focused on serving specific markets across aerospace engines and airframes, as well as munitions, radomes, antennas and fuel containment. SUMMARY The Quality Engineering Intern will be responsible for supporting, improving and sustaining inspection and/or MRB processes for manufacturing operations consistent with team objectives. Incumbents in this position will interact with manufacturing engineering, manufacturing, and quality functions. Internship is paid, full-time during the summer of 2026. Start and end dates flexible.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Under the direction of the Director of Quality or delegated program Quality Engineer, utilizes judgment in performance of duties in conjunction with company policies, procedures, and processes. Performs process capabilities studies for various manufacturing processes. - Sets up or expands methods to track/trend improvements. Works on assigned projects related to inspection improvements. Helps define/design small upgrades or identify source for improved inspection tools/media. Works with High Performance Teams and various engineers on miscellaneous continuous improvement projects. Assists with various related quality functions, e.g., defect quantification, costs reduction, inspection program optimization and quality control. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Actively enrolled in a 4-year Degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology. 2-3 years of college engineering courses required.
Experience:
Entry level mechanical aptitude (preferred) Programming experience in C++, Python or other languages (preferred)
Skills:
SolidWorks, NX, or other CAD (preferred) Highly organized Strong communication skills Able to work alone or within a team Self-motivated to complete tasks timely and act with sense of urgency as required Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations.
Pay Range:
