Job Description

Benchling ELN Specialist - (Contract) - On-site (in PA or Northern/Southern CA) Well-known Consultancy seeks a Benchling ELN Specialist local to Philadelphia or near Northern/Southern California, with 3+ years Benchling ELN experience and some lab workflow expertise in Cell/Gene Therapy. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Benchling ELN, Registry, Inventory, and Molecular Biology modules. This person will also have extensive build/maintenance of UI templates, an ability to partner with users to plan/execute UAT, expertise in configurating/validation, and prior experience working in GMP/nGMP environments. This person must also have prior integration expertise, for both upstream and downstream systems. Opportunity affords the appropriate candidate a year-long hybrid contract with possible extensions.
Benefits Pay Range:
up to $82/hr. (max C2C rate)
Work Arrangement:
Onsite in San Francisco, San Diego or Philadelphia Areas Duration 12 months (start target: July 1, 2026) Requirements 3+ years hands-on Benchling configuration experience (ELN, registry, inventory, molecular biology modules). Working knowledge of regulated lab environments (GMP/nGMP) and data integrity requirements. Experience with Computer System Validation (CSV) or documented verification approaches. Familiarity with SAFe / Agile delivery methodologies. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including UAT facilitation and follow-through. Understanding laboratory automation, data flow, and integrations in regulated pharma environments. Experience supporting Cell & Gene Therapy or biopharma R D / process & method development environments. Responsibilities Design/configure Benchling ELN entry masks aligned to Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) laboratory workflows. Build and maintain a library of verified UI templates optimized for specific business functional flows. Automate ELN data capture processes to maximize user productivity and data compliance. Partner with lab users and stakeholders to plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Maintain ELN configuration/validation/verification documentation aligned with GMP/nGMP expectations. Support integrations between Benchling and upstream/downstream systems (AutoLab/DAMAS, AVEVA PI, TetraLake). Participate in PI Planning, sprint ceremonies, and sprint reviews within a SAFe Agile Release Train. Contribute to AI enablement initiatives in the Benchling ecosystem (registry, inventory, lab automation).
