Failure Analysis Engineer responsible for diagnosing, debugging, and analyzing hardware failures in server/motherboard systems. The role is a hybrid of Python-driven automation (65%) and hands-on hardware failure analysis (35%) , with strong emphasis on board bring-up, system debugging, and RMA investigation.

Semiconductor / Electronics / Server Hardware (Mandatory) Key Responsibilities Hardware Failure Analysis (35%) Perform RMA failure analysis on server/motherboard hardware. Conduct board-level debugging and bring-up activities . Probe and test PCB components to identify electrical and functional failures.

Use lab equipment such as:

Oscilloscopes Logic Analyzers Digital Multimeters (DMM) Analyze system issues related to: CPU/GPU subsystems Memory modules Power delivery and thermal systems (including liquid cooling) Debug hardware using JTAG, I2C, UART, SPI, PCIe protocols . Work on server architecture-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis . Software & Automation (65%) Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation of testing and failure analysis .

Automate:

Log collection and parsing Test case execution Data analysis and reporting Perform Linux-based debugging and system troubleshooting , including: Log analysis (/var/log, kernel logs, system logs) SSH-based remote system debugging Network and service troubleshooting Write and maintain Bash scripts for routine automation tasks (good to have). Work with remote management tools such as IPMI, SSH, and related server management protocols . Improve efficiency of RMA analysis workflows through scripting and tool development. Technical Skills RequiredLinux Strong command-line proficiency Log analysis and debugging System administration basics (users, permissions, services) SSH-based remote troubleshooting Python Strong scripting skills for automation Experience in log parsing and data analysis Ability to build tools for test automation and debugging workflows #
