- 100,000k Must work without the need for sponsorship Position Summary The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring products and manufacturing processes meet established quality, safety, and performance standards.
This role supports continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, product validation, metrology operations, and quality system compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product Development to identify and resolve quality issues while driving operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Program and maintain optical measurement equipment used by Quality and Production teams, including vision and dimensional inspection systems. Investigate customer complaints and internal quality issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Prepare detailed technical reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Train employees on quality procedures and corrective actions to prevent recurrence of quality concerns. Lead metrology laboratory activities, ensuring equipment availability and readiness for production and qualification requirements. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Product Development teams to support product and process improvements, validations, and qualification activities. Apply Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies to optimize manufacturing processes and improve product performance. Manage Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems, analyze process data, identify trends, and recommend corrective or preventive actions. Support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven analysis and cross-functional collaboration. Develop and utilize internal and external resources to successfully complete assigned projects and objectives. Ensure project timelines and deliverables are achieved. Support compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and applicable industry standards. Maintain documentation related to quality processes, validations, investigations, and improvement activities. Provide training and technical support related to quality systems, measurement technologies, and data collection systems. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field. 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering, process engineering, product development, project management, or a related discipline. Experience with engineering documentation systems, qualification protocols, change control processes, and project management methodologies. Strong technical writing and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate recommendations effectively. Experience with measurement systems, test fixtures, gauges, and Gauge R&R studies. Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE) within a manufacturing environment. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and quality-related software systems. Preferred Qualifications Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Experience with automated manufacturing, assembly, molding, or metal-forming processes. Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management system standards. Experience with manufacturing data collection and reporting systems. Familiarity with metrology equipment, optical measurement systems, and quality inspection technologies.
