Job Description:
Apply quality principles to production control, design evaluations, and engineering workflows to ensure specifications and product requirements are consistently met. Collaborate with Quality Program Managers (QPMs), production teams, and other stakeholders to improve quality workflows within the Oldsmar site and partner locations. Lead root-cause investigations into product failures, analyze defect trends, and implement corrective/preventative measures directly tied to systemic improvements. Systems Design & Testing Develop and refine inspection processes and contribute to building advanced testing mechanisms and systems to streamline quality procedures. Commodities and Site Collaboration Support quality for commodities like CCAs, cables, and box assemblies manufactured at the Oldsmar location for internal customers across other sites. Drive process alignment across partner programs and hardware teams within nearby locations. Quality System Design and Analytics Leverage Tableau dashboards and predictive analytics to monitor production metrics and identify trends for actionable next steps. Initiate automation and AI solutions to reduce errors, improve inspection rates, and drive predictive quality outcomes. Basic Qualifications Strong communication skills - adept at collaborating across sites and program teams. Familiarity with AS9100 standards or equivalent aerospace quality models. Comfortable with hardware engineering requirements, integration, and system testing processes. Understanding of basic manufacturing requirements and quality engineering systems. Desired Skills Tableau and other data visualization platforms for quality tracking. Certifications like Lean Six Sigma or equivalent problem-solving methods. Experience with commodities such as CCAs, cabling assemblies, and box-level components. Familiarity with IPC and J-STD standards essential for component and system analysis.
