Gainesville, Florida Compensation:
Up to $150,000+ (flexible based on experience)

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical Reliability Engineer to join a chemical manufacturing facility in Gainesville, Florida. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, supporting automation systems, and leading electrical and instrumentation maintenance initiatives throughout the plant. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an industrial manufacturing, chemical, refinery, petrochemical, power generation, or process plant environment and enjoy solving technical problems while working closely with maintenance and operations teams. What You'll Do Improve equipment reliability and reduce plant downtime. Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical and instrumentation systems. Troubleshoot and support plant automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, controls, and instrumentation. Investigate equipment failures and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Support electrical, instrumentation, and automation projects throughout the facility. Assist with troubleshooting motors, VFDs, control valves, actuators, and field instruments. Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, including NFPA 70E and NEC requirements. Maintain and update electrical drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and instrument documentation. Support calibration programs and reliability initiatives. Mentor, train, and provide technical guidance to Instrumentation & Electrical Technicians. Work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and outside vendors to improve plant performance. Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement projects. Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field. Minimum of 3 years of industrial engineering experience. Experience troubleshooting electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. Experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). #
