Reviews engineering drawings, specifications, customer requirements, & manufacturing processes to ensure compliance. Conducts root cause analysis investigations for internal & external quality issues using corrective & preventive action methodologies (CAPA). Leads & supports continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, scrap, rework, & process variation. Ensures adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations. Analyzes quality data, trends, & performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. Supports First Article Inspections (FAI) & production part approval processes. Reviews nonconforming material reports (NCMRs) & assists with disposition activities. Collaborates with Manufacturing, Engineering, Account Managers, & Logistics teams to improve process capability & product quality. Participates in internal, customer, & external audits. Assists in maintaining compliance with customer, ISO, AS9100, FAA, and/or other applicable regulatory requirements. Develops & updates quality procedures, work instructions, & inspection documentation. Supports calibration systems & measurement equipment compliance. Assists with supplier quality evaluations & corrective actions as needed. Utilizes statistical analysis tools & quality methodologies to monitor process performance. Supports training efforts related to quality standards & procedures & promotes a culture of quality, accountability, & continuous improvement throughout the organization. Maintains accurate quality records & documentation. Assures that MRP schedule is followed. Participates in customer meetings & quality reviews as required. Completes and edits paperwork before product is shipped Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience and Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field preferred Must have experience in manufacturing, machining, aerospace, or defense environments Knowledge of
AS9100, ISO
9001, and/or customer quality standards is required
Technical Skills:
Experience with root cause analysis tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, PFMEA, & corrective action processes Familiarity with GD&T, blueprints, specifications, & inspection methods Experience using ERP/MRP systems & quality management systems preferred Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong analytical, organizational, & problem-solving skills Excellent communication & cross-functional collaboration abilities
Physical Requirements:
Extended periods of sitting & computer use Ability to walk the production floor Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
