Job Summary:

The Quality Engineer (Assurance) is responsible for ensuring product quality throughout the manufacturing process. This role focuses on developing and maintaining quality systems, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and procedures Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues Perform internal audits and support external/customer audits Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve product quality and manufacturability Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) Assist in the development of inspection plans, control plans, and quality documentation Lead and facilitate Value Stream Mapping (VSM) initiatives to visualize and improve end-to-end production and information flow Map current-state processes to identify waste, bottlenecks, and non-value-added activities

Requirements:

2+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment (metal fabrication experience a plus) Strong understanding of quality systems and standards (ISO 9001; AS9100 preferred) Experience with root cause analysis tools Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Proficiency with quality measurement tools and inspection equipment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities Familiarity with quality audits. ISO 90012015 and AS9100D a plus Ability to travel internationally once a year
