First Shift Role Summary We are looking for a Quality Engineer to oversee quality systems, manufacturing workflows, and ongoing improvement projects within a composites production facility that supports the defense, medical, and automotive sectors. This position involves maintaining high quality standards for both internal processes and finished goods, while actively participating in production support, troubleshooting, and process optimization. We seek a candidate with robust analytical capabilities and a background in manufacturing quality who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving setting. Primary Duties Oversee day-to-day quality operations throughout the production floor Facilitate root cause investigations and corrective measures by utilizing methodologies like 5 Why, 8D, and Fishbone diagrams Manage and update essential quality paperwork, such as PFMEAs, control plans, inspection criteria, and work instructions Resolve quality issues originating from internal sources, suppliers, or customers to ensure long-term solutions Track key production quality indicators to pinpoint areas for operational enhancement Facilitate launch processes, First Article Inspections, PPAP, and APQP requirements Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production departments to minimize defects and refine manufacturing workflows Examine non-conformance, rework, and scrap data to help boost overall manufacturing efficiency Perform internal audits to ensure ongoing adherence to

quality protocols Manage gauge validation, process capability evaluations, and the development of inspection techniques Promote quality awareness and provide training to staff across the production facility Ensure all quality and production data is accurately logged within QMS and ERP platforms Professional Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering is preferred Minimum of two years of professional experience in a manufacturing quality or Quality Engineering capacity Background in plastics, composites, automotive, or similar industrial manufacturing settings is preferred Familiarity with root cause analysis, SPC, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, and

standards Proficiency in interpreting GD&T and technical engineering blueprints Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities Hands-on experience with various inspection and measurement tools Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across different departments Competency in quality reporting software and Microsoft Office applications Desired Attributes A forward-thinking engineer dedicated to continuous improvement An individual who finds satisfaction in overcoming quality and manufacturing obstacles High level of personal accountability and meticulous attention to detail A collaborative team player who is comfortable working directly on the production floor Operational Environment This position is based in Comer, Georgia, operating on the first shift within a combined office and manufacturing setting.
