Direct Hire Job Summary The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards for products and processes. This role drives quality improvement through statistical analysis, testing methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain quality systems, inspection plans, control documentation, and t echnical quality plans . Analyze quality performance and cost of quality, including nonconformance ownership, using advanced statistical methods. Design and implement inspection, testing, and sampling plans ( SPC, control charts, capability analysis, hypothesis testing ). Develop and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) for complex products and processes. Lead root cause analysis , failure investigations , and Material Review Board (MRB) activities. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to improve producibility, processes, tooling, and training. Monitor quality trends , prepare detailed reports, and provide data-driven recommendations. Interface with customers and regulatory agencies; lead or support internal and external audits . Ensure compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and industry standards. Lead cross-functional projects, establish goals/metrics, and mentor junior team members . Drive continuous improvement using Lean and quality engineering principles . Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field. 6+ years of experience in quality engineering or related role. ASQ certification (preferred). Strong knowledge of quality systems, statistical methods, and inspection techniques. Experience with SPC, sampling plans, and data analysis tools . Familiarity with regulated industries (e.g., aerospace or similar). Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills. Ability to work cross-functionally and manage complex technical challenges.
