Job Title:
Quality Engineer Job Description As a Quality Engineer, you will oversee and continuously improve quality systems to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. You will conduct thorough inspections and tests across manufacturing operations, including products, components, and processes, ensuring compliance with established standards. You will equip internal teams and suppliers with quality methodologies, tools, and data to drive consistent, defect-free output. Responsibilities Investigate reported quality issues and implement targeted improvements to resolve them effectively. Lead Return Material Authorization (RMA) analysis and manage both internal and external Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). Perform statistical evaluations of production data and compile actionable reports for senior leadership based on documented quality metrics. Maintain and enhance compliance with Quality Management (QMS), Environmental (EMS), TL9000 Telecom Quality, and Occupational Health & Safety (OSHA) systems, including process audits, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts. Act as the central manufacturing liaison for root cause analysis and long-term corrective/preventive action planning. Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain to qualify and develop high-performance suppliers for both commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and customized components. Execute inspections on incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and final products to verify adherence to all quality specifications. Essential Skills B.S. engineering degree is required. Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing certifications. Proficiency in DFx, FMEA, and other quality tools. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE). Proficiency in SAP and OSHA standards. Ability to read component and assembly drawings. Additional Skills & Qualifications Project Management experience. Work Environment The work environment requires frequent standing, using hands to handle or feel objects, tools, keyboards, or controls, reaching with hands and arms, and talking or hearing. Occasionally, you may be required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. You must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The role involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Post Falls, ID. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $77000.00 - $83000.00/yr.- A competitive benefit package
