Quality Engineer II#26-06461 Buffalo Grove, IL Onsite Contract Starts 6/29/2026 Ends 9/29/2026 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a Quality Engineer II for a contract position with a Global Industrial Equipment Manufacturer located in Buffalo Grove, IL. This is a 3+ month contract opportunity.
Pay Range:
$45.00 - $55.00 per hour The Quality Engineer II ensures product and processpliance with customer, regulatory, and industry standards. This role works independently on routine tasks, supports audits, and contributes to cross-functional initiatives. The position requires solid technical knowledge of quality tools, proactive problem-solving, and effectivemunication with internal teams and customers.
Responsibilities:
Log and track customerplaints, lead cross-functional containment and root cause activities, and ensure timely corrective actions Communicate quality status and performance trends to customers and internal teams Coordinate customer visits and prepare reports on systemic issues and scorecard metrics; lead action plans to close gaps Approve reworks and support manufacturing in processing NCMRs to improve processes Conduct process audits to ensurepliance and support
ISO 9001
audits Lead structured problem-solving (8D) and implement corrective/preventive actions Support Lean, Six Sigma, and DMAIC initiatives and participate in Kaizen events Track
APQP/PPAP
status for new product launches and ensure robust process validation Manage quality alerts, concessions/deviations, and approve internal deviations perpany standards Utilize ERP/MES systems and digital QMS platforms for data management and traceability Monitor KPIs and customer scorecards; analyze trends and present quality metrics to leadership Support physical inventory and cycle count activities
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Quality or related field 5+ years of work experience in the Quality Field Customer-facing experience Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and digital QMS platforms Solid understanding of
PPAP, FMEA, SPC, CAPA
; basic DOE and MSA Proficient in Excel for data analysis Knowledge of ISO 9001 and transit-specific standards Ability to work independently andmunicate effectively across teams Desired skills:
