Job Description
C.F. Roark Welding & Engineering, Co., Inc., roarkfab.com, a manufacturer for the Aerospace and Power Generation industries is seeking a Quality Engineer. Job description The Quality Engineer is responsible for assisting the Quality Manager in assuring quality products and processes through the enforcement of established systems and procedures that reinforce quality standards to continually exceed customer expectations. This position supports engineering and manufacturing processes by determining needed improvements that ensure a very high degree of capability and stability while maximizing productivity and efficiency. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for improving and maintaining quality systems as they relate to manufacturing needs and customer requirements. Essential Responsibilities Monitor, review, and approve quality system requirements and ensure compliance for product release (e.g., FAI, Source Substantiation, etc.) Lead investigations, develop corrective actions, and validate effective implementation for quality concerns, issues, & escapes, and present results to review board Perform robust Root Cause Analysis to solve quality issues and prevent reoccurrence. Drive consistency and adherence to quality procedures and specification requirements. Develop first production article inspection packages, including ballooning of prints, preparation of CAV forms, and their submittal to customer. Review manufacturing planning to ensure completion of characteristics and customer requirements. Perform internal quality system, special process and follow-up audits. Communicate with customers to resolve inspection, testing or interpretation problems. Work under general supervision. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) Bachelors degree or Associates degree and/or equivalent experience. Experience and an understanding of fabrication processes, associated inspection methods and gauging techniques. Experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications. Ability to work in cross-functional and team environments.
