Job Description:
Perform and review FAI (First Article Inspection) documentation in accordance with aerospace industry standards. Conduct quality inspections for incoming, in-process, and final products/components. Ensure compliance with AS9100 quality management system requirements. Manage non-conformance processes, including investigation, containment, corrective actions, and closure. Prepare and maintain Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and related quality documentation. Analyze customer returns and lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities. Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality-related issues. Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Monitor quality metrics and recommend process improvements to enhance product reliability and manufacturing efficiency. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across production and quality systems. Required Qualifications Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within the aerospace industry.
Strong knowledge of:
FAI (First Article Inspection) AS9100 standards Quality Inspection processes Non-Compliance / Non-Conformance Management NCR (Non-Conformance Report) handling Customer Returns investigation and resolution Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications. Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. Proficiency in quality tools and inspection methodologies.
