Job Summary The Quality Specialist at the Noblesville, IN manufacturing plant will be a key role for the quality team and will partner with Operations, Sourcing, Planning, and R D/Engineering teams to ensure products meet or exceed customer requirements. The right candidate will help drive the adoption and improvement of strategic QMS processes that will shape the QMS culture of our facility. Maintaining compliance with applicable customer and company standards is the top priority while looking for opportunities for improvement based on trends found in customer feedback, production process data, inspection records and other product quality related information. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Set and sustain the major quality programs and processes including but not limited to: Document Control Internal Audit Supplier Corrective Actions Corrective and Preventive Actions, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Control of Non-Conforming Material, including Quality Hold and Alert Gather and review customer requirements and feedback, production process data, inspection records and other product quality related information to achieve plant goals and continuously improve Document and transfer best practices, techniques, procedures, and tools to peers and other process improvement teams Develop quality related documentation, including but not limited to Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Alerts, PFMEA, and Flowcharts Perform complaint investigations including quarantine, sort, rework and disposition of material as well as RCA and effective action development and implementation Represent the quality team in continuous improvement projects Participate in product and process change management tasks, including but not limited to BOM review and First Article Inspection for EPD and NPD Support third party or customer quality audits Assist with quality control inspection of raw, in process and finished goods and documentation of results Maintain a safe and clean work environment Education and Experience Profile Bachelor's degree required (Science or related field preferred) ASQ or equivalent certification (CQIA, CQA, or Yellow or Green Belt) preferred 3-5 years Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment Knowledgeable in QMS and QC Processes and Methodology (PDCA) Knowledgeable in QC inspection, calibration and sampling systems Required Skills Excellent problem-solving skills Excellent understanding of data analysis tools including Word, Excel, Power Point Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are fundamental Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and possess strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communications skills Knowledgeable in the use of various measurement and test equipment, including but not limited to tape measures, calipers, and Hy-Pot Testers Knowledgeable in SAP (or other ERP systems) Knowledgeable of Lean Six Sigma tools Mechanical Aptitude with ability to read and interpret technical documentation Work Environment Exposure to hot and cold warehouse climate Frequent exposure to motorized warehouse equipment Frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and stooping Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds Email a friend Print Apply Back to list
