Job Description

Established in 1919 and traded on the NYSE, Standard Motor Products, Inc. (SMP) is a leading independent manufacturer and distributor of premium automotive replacement parts utilized in the maintenance, repair, and service of vehicles in the automotive aftermarket. Additionally, SMP provides customized solutions for vehicle control and thermal management products in diversified end markets represented by its Engineered Solutions segment. QUALITY ENGINEER
Standard Motor Products, Independence, is recruiting for a Quality Engineer. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of capacity analysis, GR&R, root cause investigation, and failure analysis, with experience applying quality tools to drive continuous improvement. They will utilize this knowledge to assist others working with product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, and assembly methods to ensure quality control standards are met. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to interface with internal and external customers concerning introduction of new products, existing product requirements, expectations, and quality issues. A technical degree or equivalent experience within an
OEM/OES IATF 16949
certified manufacturing environment preferred. Must be skilled in the use and application of quality control tools.
