Job Description

Job Title:
Quality Engineer Client is unable to provide visa sponsorship now or in the future Job Description As a Quality Engineer, you will support customers regarding quality issues and concerns, providing corrective actions to address ongoing quality issues. You will communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Responsibilities Develop quality plans and review drawing and purchase order requirements. Maintain, organize, and distribute customer drawings to ensure revision control. Resolve customer complaint issues and implement corrective actions. Maintain quality control system documentation (ISO9000). Manage material disposition and initiate corrective actions. Conduct statistical analysis of product data and process capability studies. Perform internal and external quality audits. Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation. Devise sampling procedures and design forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data. Establish programs to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities. Develop and implement methods and procedures for the disposition of discrepant material. Compile and write training materials and conduct training sessions on quality control activities. Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas, and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards. Record test data, applying statistical quality control procedures. Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards. Recommend modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within equipment capabilities. Examine company records to obtain information such as product size, weight, and results of quality tests. Inspect products to determine compliance with order specifications, company quality control systems, and legal requirements. Stamp approval or rejection on products and write reports. Essential Skills Experience with PPAP and documentation processes. Proficiency in quality engineering, audit processes, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Ability to conduct customer quality assessments and develop corrective action plans. Additional Skills & Qualifications An engineering degree is desirable. Prior experience with APQP and quality control documentation is a significant advantage. Work Environment Work in a technically challenging manufacturing environment offering long-term stability and direct involvement in industries driving electrification and infrastructure growth. The plant is the only facility in the U.S. capable of producing rolled copper bar with finished edges up to 12 inches wide. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with some flexibility required. The operation is based in a close-knit Kentucky community. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Eminence, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
