Job Description

Quality Engineer#26-00629 Hopkinsville, KY All On-site Job Description Position Summary Seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing operations by driving stable, capable, and compliant production processes. This role partners cross-functionally to improve product quality, reduce variation, and ensure alignment with internal and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Serve as a technical quality resource within manufacturing, supporting process stability and product conformity Drive continuous improvement using quality and Six Sigma tools (SPC, root cause analysis, 8D, capability analysis) Support production in achieving quality, cost, and delivery targets, with emphasis on scrap reduction and first-pass yield improvement Lead and support APQP activities, including development and maintenance of Control Plans, PFMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, and Inspection Plans Investigate internal and external quality issues, implement containment actions, and lead root cause analysis with cross-functional teams Ensure timely and accurate completion of problem-solving documentation in line with customer and internal expectations Maintain compliance with
ISO 9001
2015 and applicable industry/customer standards Support audits, corrective actions, and ongoing quality system improvements Contribute to a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within manufacturing operations Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 3+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred Working knowledge of core quality tools, including SPC, capability analysis, MSA, 5-Why, PPAP, and standard measurement/gauging practices Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through root cause analysis and corrective actions Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Solid project management and planning capabilities Proven ability to follow established standards, procedures, and quality systems with consistency and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization Proficiency with standard business software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab or equivalent) Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to supporting operations Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus We offer attractive, competitive compensation and benefits including, medical, dental, 401k, short-term disability, AD&D, tuition reimbursement, and more.
