We are looking for a dynamic Quality Engineer to join our team!

Where we are located:
Our facility is located in Hopkinsville, KY. This area is a great location for commuters and residents of the Nashville, TN and Clarksville, TN areas. Within a 30-45-minute commute are opportunities to live in the heart of a vibrant city or live in a suburb with all the amenities. We also have manufacturing facilities located in Shelbyville, Indiana and Monterrey, Mexico. Our Corporate Headquarters reside in Adrian, Michigan.
What the position entails:
As a member of the Brazeway Quality Team, the person in this role is responsible for applying appropriate engineering and manufacturing technology to improve existing processes in the areas of quality, productivity and cost reduction. The team member will also be a key player in monitoring the Quality System to assure total compliance with the Quality Plan.
Major Responsibilities:
Serve as a technical quality resource for manufacturing, supporting stable, capable, and compliant production processes.

Drive process stabilization and continuous improvement through use of Quality and Six Sigma tools, including SPC, root cause analysis, 8D, and capability analysis.

Support manufacturing in meeting quality, cost, and delivery objectives, with focus on scrap reduction, rework elimination, and first-pass yield improvement.

Lead and support APQP activities, including development and maintenance of Control Plans, PFMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, and Inspection Plans to prevent defects and reduce process variation.

Investigate internal and customer quality issues, implement effective containment, and lead cross-functional teams in identifying root causes and sustainable corrective actions.

Ensure timely, accurate completion of 8D documentation and alignment with customer and internal expectations.

Ensure compliance with
ISO 9001
2015, industry standards, and customer-specific requirements in daily operations.

Develop, manage, and execute quality improvement action plans and support audit readiness and corrective actions.

Actively support and model Brazeways mission, vision, Code of Conduct, Process-Based Leadership principles, and 5S + Safety culture. What a candidate must have to be qualified for the role: A Bachelors Degree or Technical Degree in Engineering, and 3-5 years experience with quality in a manufacturing environment or equivalent are required. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferredBasic knowledge of traditional quality tools such as SPC, capability analysis, MSA, 5-Why, PPAP and common gauging practices.

Demonstrate effective usage of advanced problem-solving skills. Proven ability to lead teams in effective problem solving.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong project management and planning abilities.

Demonstrated discipline and consistency regarding adherence to established standards, policies, and procedures.

Good written and oral communication skills to independently prepare and deliver presentations.

Ability to interface with all levels of the organization.

PC application skills including Microsoft Office, MiniTab. Strong commitment to a team environment.
