Quality Engineer Job Description As a Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in monitoring and analyzing product performance and quality trends. You will support the resolution of manufacturing issues and product non-conformances while leading structured root cause investigations utilizing methodologies such as 8D and 5 Why. This role requires close collaboration with manufacturing, repair, engineering, and test teams to develop and maintain defect tracking and analysis tools. You will also support tear-down evaluations and technical assessments of returned units and drive the implementation and validation of corrective actions. Additionally, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on product reliability and participate in daily production and quality reviews. Responsibilities- Monitor and analyze product performance and quality trends.
- Support resolution of manufacturing issues and product non-conformances.
- Lead structured root cause investigations using 8D, 5 Why, etc.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, repair, engineering, and test teams.
- Develop and maintain defect tracking and analysis tools.
- Support tear-down evaluations and technical assessments of returned units.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on product reliability.
- Participate in daily production and quality reviews. Essential Skills
- Quality engineering principles

- Electrical testing and troubleshooting
- Experience with electrical equipment
- Performance analysis
- Data-driven decision making Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Understanding of transformer fundamentals (windings, insulation systems, magnetic circuits)
- Familiarity with electrical testing (TTR, insulation & winding resistance, dielectric testing)
- Knowledge of failure mechanisms in electrical equipment
- Exposure to oil-filled equipment or basic diagnostic concepts is a plus Work Environment This role is situated in an industrial manufacturing setting.
