Job Description

Senior Quality EngineerPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead and elevate quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts within an assembly-based manufacturing environment. The role focuses on ensuring product quality and compliance, driving CAPA and structured problem solving (Root Cause Analysis, 5-Why, DMAIC, 8D), supporting production and NPI activities, and mentoring engineers and operators to embed robust quality practices across the organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead investigation and resolution of product and process quality issues using structured problem-solving methods (Root Cause Analysis, 5-Why, 8D, DMAIC).Develop, implement and manage CAPA processes to close gaps and prevent recurrence of quality failures.

Design and maintain process control plans, inspection methods, test procedures, and assembly quality standards for production lines.

Perform statistical analysis and apply SPC techniques to monitor process performance and drive continuous improvement.

Conduct internal and supplier quality audits, manage non-conformances, and work with suppliers to improve incoming quality.

Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by participating in design reviews, process validations, and production readiness evaluations.

Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) sessions and coordinate corrective actions to mitigate risk.

Create and maintain quality documentation, records, and metrics dashboards (KPIs) to communicate quality status to stakeholders.

Train and mentor manufacturing and quality personnel on quality tools and best practices (5-Why, DMAIC, 8D, CAPA, root cause analysis).Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to ensure timely resolution of quality issues and continuous process improvements.

QualificationsBachelors degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.5+ years of experience in quality engineering within assembly-based manufacturing or similar production environments.

Hands-on experience with statistical tools and techniques (SPC, control charts, Minitab or equivalent) and data-driven decision making.

Experience developing and executing process validations, control plans, and inspection/test methods.

Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001 and experience with internal and supplier audits; industry-specific standards (e.g., AS9100, IATF 16949) a plus.

Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives and reducing defects/cost of poor quality.
