We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Quality Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for representing the company's quality interests by ensuring products and processes meet established standards of excellence This role partners closely with Manufacturing and Engineering to identify opportunities for improvement, apply structured problem-solving methodologies, and utilize statistical analysis to drive data-informed decisions The position plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing quality assurance systems and establishing efficient, scalable quality control processes that support operational performance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Support the goals of the Quality Department and company-wide Continuous Improvement initiatives by actively contributing ideas, participating on cross-functional teams, and assisting with implementation of improvement projects. Develop, revise, and maintain quality standards and procedures for processing materials into finished and semi-finished products. Implement and sustain inspection, testing, and evaluation methods to ensure product quality, consistency, and compliance with specifications. Prepare and maintain documentation for inspection and testing procedures Conducts root cause analysis for customer complaints or returned products and proposes corrective/preventative actions. Assist with internal and external quality audits, including customer audits, to ensure compliance with applicable standards and maintain approved supplier status. Analyze production processes and quality data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to improve process capability, reduce defects, and enhance overall product quality. Utilize statistical tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, Six Sigma) to monitor and improve process performance. Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization. Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Mathematics or a related technical field required. 0-2 years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment Understanding of basic statistical analysis required Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions. Basic understanding of measurement hand tools, calipers, micrometers, etc. required Requires knowledge of Six Sigma, SPC and/or ISO process control. Ability to develop product sampling and test plans required Experience with statistical software (i.e. Minitab) preferred Experience working in problem solving teams (i.e. Material Review Board) desired Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, and control plans preferred Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
