Description:
You will be a Quality Engineer Staff to support our manufacturing operations at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC) in Chelmsford, MA. As a recognized designer, developer and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries, LMMFC offers the vital capabilities needed to provide our war fighting and civilian customers the products and services they need in their defining moments. What You Will Be Doing Quality Engineers at LMMFC act as an integrated member of the design and production teams developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work Instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products. To ensure our customer receives the highest level of Quality, our Quality Engineers develop, review/approve documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure requirements are fulfilled. Applies quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products. Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures. Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place. Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action. Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements. Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity. Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Basic Qualifications:
- Generally has 5+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related STEM discipline, or equivalent combined education/experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills, to communicate ROI's and corrective/preventative action path forward.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
- This position will be located at a facility that requires the ability to obtain a secret clearance and be able to obtain an interim secret prior to start so therefore all candidates need to be US Citizens.
Desired Skills:
- Experience implementing technology insertion or digital quality tools to enhance the monitoring and analysis capability to drive decision making.
- Demonstrated experience performing root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured analysis.
- Possesses advanced experience with statistical methods and performance analysis (SPC, capability analysis, etc.) Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and waste elimination principles.
- Experience identifying systemic quality trends across multiple programs/product lines. Capable of creating robust solutions to manufacturing that drive overall cost of quality. History of leading reduction initiatives in response to key indicators like scrap rates, rework, escapes, etc.
- Experience deploying robust corrective and

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for thisPosition:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per weekPay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $99,700- $175,835.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $114,700- $198,720.
