Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer with expertise in plastic injection molding to lead quality initiatives and ensure the consistent production of high-quality components. This role will oversee quality processes, support new product launches, resolve production issues, and lead quality personnel in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Lead quality planning activities, including quality plans, contract reviews, and new product launches Communicate inspection results and test reports to customers in a timely manner Investigate product and process quality issues; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Develop, implement, and maintain inspection plans for molding and secondary operations Ensure compliance with
ISO 9001
2015 quality management system Program and operate metrology equipment, including CMM (PC-DMIS), Micro-Vu, and optical comparators Utilize standard and advanced measuring tools to verify product quality Provide hands-on support for inspection and testing activities as needed Train, mentor, and lead quality technicians and inspectors Collaborate with production, engineering, and customers to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field Experience in plastic injection molding quality engineering Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and PPAP processes Proficiency with CMM programming (PC-DMIS preferred) Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred:
Experience leading or supervising quality teams Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Frequent standing, walking, bending, and movement throughout the facility Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels #
