Job DescriptionWe're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Engineer to join our team in Salisbury, MD, United States. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring that our products and processes meet the highest quality standards. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, implement quality initiatives, and maintain our commitment to excellence. Monitor supplier quality of incoming materials and analyze customer feedback to resolve quality issues.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and documentation to support consistent product excellenceAnalyze quality data and performance metrics to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement using statistical analysis and SPC methodologiesCollaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve customer quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Prepare detailed quality reports, statistical analyses, and performance dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholdersSupport the continuous improvement process by leading or participating in quality initiatives and process optimization projectsConduct internal audits and ensure compliance with AS9100 and other relevant quality management system requirementsParticipate in new product development and process validation activities, including PPAP documentation and approval workflowsMaintain organized quality records and documentation systems to ensure traceability and regulatory complianceMentor and support team members on quality best practices and foster a culture of quality awareness across the organizationCandidates Must be US Citizens or Permanent ResidentsQualificationsAll candidates must be US Citizens or Permanent ResidentsBachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical fieldMinimum of 5 years' experience in Quality EngineeringProficiency with MS Excel (advanced level), Outlook, and Word for data analysis and reportingStrong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and quality specificationsKnowledge of measurement techniques, inspection procedures, and quality control testing methodologiesExperience working in a manufacturing or production environmentSolid understanding of quality management systems (QMS), particularly AS9001Familiarity with quality methodologies including 8D problem-solving, PPAP, and root cause analysisProficiency with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems at a user level (preferred)Internal auditor or quality auditor certification (preferred)Excellent analytical and statistical thinking skills with strong attention to detailDemonstrated ability to organize complex information and manage multiple priorities efficientlyStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to diverse audiencesCommunicative proficiency in EnglishProblem-solving mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovationCollaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams in a supportive and inclusive environmentValid driver's license (preferred for potential facility visits or supplier audits)Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
