Job Description

Quality Engineer - Direct Hire Cadillac, MI 49601 Full-time Full-time Are you passionate about quality, continuous improvement, and solving complex manufacturing challenges? We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join a growing manufacturing team in Cadillac, Michigan. In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between customers and production teams, helping ensure products meet the highest quality standards while driving process improvements throughout the organization. What You'll Do Serve as the primary quality contact for customers and internal assembly operations Lead customer concern investigations and coordinate 8D corrective actions Conduct and manage internal quality audits and layered process audits Support APQP activities, design reviews, and new product launches Monitor quality metrics and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities Review customer portals and respond to quality-related issues Manage hold materials and disposition activities Support continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives Coordinate training and quality-related development for production personnel Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and leadership teams to improve processes and customer satisfaction Qualifications Associate's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing Technology, or related technical field preferred Minimum of 5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with automotive quality systems, audits, and customer requirements Knowledge of
IATF 16949, ISO
14001, APQP, PPAP, and 8D methodologies Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills Experience interpreting quality data and making data-driven decisions Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Excellent communication and customer relationship skills Preferred Qualifications Internal Auditor certification for IATF 16949 and/or
ISO 14001 ASQ
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Experience working with automotive customer portals Manufacturing experience involving assembly, molding, or laboratory testing environments What We're Looking For Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Self-motivated professional who thrives in a team environment Ability to communicate effectively with customers, production, engineering, and leadership teams Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence This is a direct hire position.
