Description:
Provide engineering services to develop and enhance quality control procedures to create high quality ductile iron castings to fulfill customer expectations. Ensure all plant safety, quality and productivity processes and procedures are followed within areas of responsibility.Requirements:
Maintain and administer plant quality control systems including such tasks as creating, revising and auditing quality manuals and other programs/procedures to enhance product quality. Maintain the statistical process control program, performing a variety of statistical analysis on products and productions processes. Conduct studies to develop inspection methods and sampling control procedures to achieve quality control goals and economical manufacturing costs. Coordinate the corrective action program to improve supplier and plant production quality. Monitor, analyze and interpret scrap and return statistics, providing suggestions to enhance plant performance in these areas. Maintain plant measurements and test equipment. Coordinate instrument calibration and repairs and conduct gauge repeatability and reproducibility studies and otherwise track gauge histories. Establish key production process characteristics and provide assistance in developing procedures to control these factors. Conduct production process and product failure mode and effects of studies as required. Must be able to read and interpret gages of measurement.
