    10 The Quality Engineer
  • QMS is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
This role ensures that all processes, products, and services meet the required quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. This individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive quality initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards like
ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO
14001, VDA or other relevant frameworks.
JOB SUMMARY
Design, implement, and maintain the QMS in accordance with applicable automotive standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, VDA, etc.). Regularly review and update quality processes and documentation to ensure they meet current regulations and company goals. Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with QMS and regulatory requirements. Coordinate and lead the preparation and execution of external audits conducted by customers, regulatory bodies, or certification agencies. Develop Corrective and Preventive Action Plans (CAPAs) to address non-conformities and follow-up on their implementation & effectiveness. Identify opportunities and lead quality improvement initiatives. Apply quality / continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, and root cause analysis to drive process efficiencies. Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Operations, EHS, and Purchasing teams to implement process controls and improve product quality. Train and support staff in the use of the QMS and tools. Develop training materials and provide ongoing guidance on quality procedures, standards, and best practices. Track and analyze quality performance metrics, including customer complaints, defect rates, and audit findings. Prepare and present quality reports to management, identifying trends and recommending action plans. Ensure that quality objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met. Report data from customer systems such as scorecards, APQP, etc. Regularly checks for new or updated customer requirements and analyzes their impact on the
QMS. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in quality management or a related field (automotive industry preferred). Strong knowledge of quality management standards such as
ISO 9001, ISO 14001, VDA, IATF
16949 and Lead Auditor Certification. Experience with quality management tools (e.g., FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA). Certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) are preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of AIAG Core Tools (SPC, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in quality management software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Support environmental objectives and targets, including waste reduction, recycling, energy efficiency, and pollution prevention. Promote employee awareness and accountability for environmentally responsible behaviors. Participate in internal and external EMS audits and support corrective action activities. Support spill prevention, containment, and response practices.
