Job Description

SUMMARY The Quality Operating Systems / Special Projects Junior Engineer has the responsibility to assist in all administrative functions needed to ensure customer and quality standards are met and that all applicable procedures are followed for the design and assembly processes including APQP, continuous improvement, testing, layouts, inspection and supplier monitoring, under the direction of the Quality Operating Systems / Special Projects Senior Engineer.
CRITICAL VITAL ACTIVITIES
Assist in coordinating all applicable quality systems, including to include TS16949 and
ISO14001
ISO/9001/IATF16949 and other required standards such as homologation, Q1, 5 Star, VDA, etc., to assure ensure compliance with the standardsapplicable requirements. Monitor compliance to all company policies and procedures and take appropriate action(s) for non-compliance, as assigned. Conduct internal audits, and assist in coordinating outside registration and customer audits. Assist as needed in Management Reviews to promote continuous improvement. Assist with intra-company, supplier and customer communication to ensure that continuous improvement is maintained within the context of the assigned departments. Assist in the development and maintainancemaintenance of all applicable procedures for the assigned departments. Assist in the review and maintainancemaintenance of records in accordance with all customer or government requirements. Assist in administering the SMR global KPI system as assigned, and the monthly KPI reporting effort for the facility to include monthly review of customer concerns and internal issues to ensure appropriate documentation is updated (i.e.;, PFMEA, Control Plan, etc.) and read-across is conducted. Support Quality Management goals and objectives to include: IPMD processes, computer system enhancements, APQP, QADSAP, Warranty, Incoming Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Laboratory and Quality Engineering.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Three to five (3-5) years' experience in quality assurance positions of responsibility to include: 1

Shall have the ability:

  • to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. b
  • to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. c
  • to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference., and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. d
  • to understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (understanding of automotive body grid systems would be an advantage). e
  • to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Pay:
$80,000.00
  • $90,000.
