Quality Engineer Dearborn, MI (ONSITE) $35-41/HR | Benefits
W2 CONTRACT ONLY
Description:
Serve as the primary liaison between the customer plant and the manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring effective communication, supporting quality containment activities, and facilitating issue resolution related to product non-conformance. The position is based on-site at the customer facility and plays a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction and product quality. Key Responsibilities Act as the communication link between the customer plant and manufacturing facility Re-verify parts within internal computer systems for accuracy and compliance Perform first-level analysis of non-conformances and support issue resolution efforts Verify suspect product and maintain product test equipment Coordinate and execute initial 24-hour containment actions; facilitate additional containment when required Expedite non-conforming material back to the manufacturing facility on a same-day basis Input and manage data within the Incident Reporting System (IRS) Provide technical support and system understanding to stakeholders Participate as an integral member of cross-functional response teams Monitor and negotiate Return Parts Per Million (PPM) metrics with customers Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to support product improvement and business growth Coordinate special event activities as needed Prepare and deliver weekly activity/trip reports Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required) 6-10+ years of related experience in manufacturing, quality, or customer-facing engineering roles Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and email systems Experience working with data systems and reporting tools #LI-WH1 #INDOEM
