Job Description
Quality Leader
- Plant 10 This position is responsible for the overall quality of the product produced and shipped to the customer including work instruction accuracy, customer satisfaction and overall employee knowledge of quality issues.

- helps quality engineers understand management and customer priorities; supports plant-wide initiatives and implements with team Courage-willing to hold parts or stop processes; safeguards customer interests and company reputation Responsibilities The Quality Leader has responsibilities including, but not limited to: Promotes the Howmet quality policy and associated objectives Ensure the established quality policy is implemented culturally within the plant; comply with regulatory and customer requirements Foster continuous improvement Establishes measurable quality objectives consistent with business unit and corporate objectives; aligns those objectives with organizational purpose and priorities Provides framework for reviewing quality objectives and quality management systems Conducts management reviews of quality management systems per Howmet business operating procedures Maintains and achieves customer satisfaction goals Plans and executes continuous improvement activities to improve effectiveness and suitability of quality management systems Aligns resources to meet quality management system objectives and continuous improvement activities Maintains quality management system integrity during planned system changes Establishes and enforces quality management processes as part of an overall system Understands and drives compliance to customer quality requirements, and assists in resolution of quality issues Functions as primary source of information and communication regarding the effectiveness of the quality management system; regularly solicits input for informal audits and continuous improvement Communicates the importance of meeting customer, legal, statutory, regulatory, and internal quality requirements to all levels of the organization Informs customers of any significant organizational changes Promotes customer awareness throughout the organization Recognizes and cultivates potential in others Synthesizes and explains data to influence and lead
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Institution Minimum of seven years of quality related experience Minimum of three years of leadership experience Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or in a technical related field Aerospace investment casting quality/engineering/manufacturing experience Working knowledge of quality systems and requirements and how they relate to business (i.e.AS9100, NADCAP
). Familiarity with turbine engine components Read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community Lead/Support the implementation of initiatives necessary to improve product quality and delivery Experienced in PPAP and APQP Key on talent development. Conducting performance appraisals of direct reports- Quality Engineers and Technicians Effectively communicate & present information to all levels of the organization
- shop floor, direct reports, and management. Can define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Use and train in the following quality tools
- root cause analysis and problem solving, FMEA, control plans, PPAP, APQP, System audits, SPC.
