Job Description
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Purpose:
To design, develop, and determine the best inspection methods and equipment with respect to a given group of jobsEssential Duties/Responsibilities :
Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program Reviews gaging and gaging methods for production inspection Identify and work on continuous improvement activities with respect to gaging, GR&R and Process Capability Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process activities- works directly with Manufacturing Engineer in this process.
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience :
Post-secondary education in quality/engineering or related field 3 years of experience inspection or quality or related field, preferably in automotive manufacturing environmentJob Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Blueprint reading skills Some travel required, 25% GD&T skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external customers Strong organizational and project management skillsComputer Skills:
Microsoft Office products,Project Management, Applied Stats:
SPC software, AutoCAD Drawing software Ability to communicate with a variety of people Ability to react well under pressure and/or stress Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyTraining:
