Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months relevant experience.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Sr. Quality Engineer 3. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS
Designs, implements, and maintains quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products Designs methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products Performs analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary Reviews Documents/Drawings/Instructions for conformance to requirements Compares defects against standards and recommends dispositions, and verifies implementation of rework Collects, organizes and analyzes project data, generates and/or reviews metrics Performs audits, assigns corrective action, and verifies implementation Participates in project reviews and meetings including technical design reviews, technical peer reviews Verifies compliance to defined requirements Witnesses and or monitors test activities Receives instructions from immediate supervisor Contact with multiple work groups Works under general supervision Interfaces with various engineering disciplines, manufacturing, program management, and other quality personnel Some contact with project leaders and other professionals within the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality departments Works as an individual technical contributor on one or multiple project Participates as an active member of the project team Interfaces with customer representatives Provides resolution to problems of moderate scope Travel may be required Security clearance may be requiredKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Very solid knowledge of engineering (i.e., software, electrical, systems, etc) methodologies, tools, and standards Very solid knowledge ofISO 9001
2015, CMMI, ISO 14001ASME, ANSI, EIA, etc. Very solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Very solid written and verbal communications skills Ability to think creatively Ability to multi-task Very solid skills in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions Very solid ability to clearly recognize and report relevant to sound quality engineering practices Very solid knowledge of interpretation of drawings Very solid skills in reviewing documents/drawings/instructions for conformance to requirements techniques Very solid skills in reporting quality activities, findings, and issues both in writing and verbally Very solid interpersonal skills Very solid knowledge of use of relevant inspection/measurement tools and techniques Very solid computer skills, both desktop software and required factory or engineering tools Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovationSalary Note:
