12-Month Contract (High likelihood of extension)
Pay Range:
$55-$58/hr (W2)
Overview:
Seeking a Quality Control Engineer to ensure construction quality and compliance on power generation projects (coal, gas, and renewables). The role involves inspections, monitoring installations, and collaborating with project teams to prevent defects and maintain high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement inspection and testing procedures. Monitor construction for defects, deviations, and non-conformities. Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and operations teams to resolve quality issues. Support quality management systems, audits, and project-specific QA plans. Conduct shop visits and factory acceptance testing. Investigate failures and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications:
Engineering degree (Mechanical/Electrical preferred; Civil/Structural acceptable) QA/QC experience in power generation or industrial environments Knowledge of inspection/testing procedures and construction standards Microsoft Office proficiency Self-motivated, organized, and strong communicator 3-7+ years' experience preferred Certifications (optional but preferred):
CQE, Lean Six Sigma, Quality Auditor Work Environment:
Onsite with PPE required (hard hats, safety glasses provided; steel-toe boots required) 40-hour workweek, 7:00-8:30 AM start, ~10% travel (reimbursed)
