Opens a new window. Duties and Responsibilities Lead quality improvement initiatives by driving innovation in testing methodologies and advocating for continuous improvement across the organization. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to identify and resolve product defects early in the development lifecycle. Conduct root cause investigation and apply problem-solving techniques to improve processes and resolve issues. Utilize quality frameworks such as Six Sigma and Lean methodologies to develop and implement process optimization strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that address root causes and reduce waste. Collect, analyze, and interpret data to measure the effectiveness of implemented changes and identify opportunities for further improvement Recognized authority within area of expertise with wide versatility of experience and capability. Works under general administrative direction occasionally with some latitude for unreviewed actions or decisions. Performs project planning and manages project resources, including multiple individuals and disciplines, to achieve quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Conducts research and development while writing technical reports for experiments to resolve complex engineering and quality problems involving highly technical and scientific methods. Mentors lower-level engineers establishing operating procedures on new products and components. Utilizes data to define and recommend new designs, design changes, and alternate designs of instruments, and/or test equipment, to assure product quality and resolve processing, inspection, and design problems. Evaluates and implements innovations and technological advances that improve quality, reduce flowtime, improve productivity, and enhance operational surety. Interacts with design agency and/or supplier counterparts to resolve moderate to complex design, development, production, and acceptance issues. You Must Have Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited program in Engineering or Physics 6+ years of relevant experience in engineering, analytical, or related technical activities. United States Citizenship Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job Ability to travel up to 15% of the time. Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business. We Value Black Belt or Lean Expert Certification Experience influencing and leading cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess the severity of issues and impact of solutions effectively Experience facilitating cross functional teams to evaluate causal factors Demonstrates knowledge of manufacturing or quality processes and techniques. Demonstrates application of advanced design, development, evaluation, and quality control techniques to complex engineering concepts and projects. Demonstrates working without supervision, with latitude for independent action and decision making. Demonstrates providing technical guidance, project management guidance, consultative services, and innovative solutions.
