Apply Job Type Full-time Description Advanced Industries is seeking a Quality Engineer to assist in the support and maintenance of our Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with
ISO 9001
2015. The Quality Engineer will play a key role in quality assurance, root cause analysis, corrective actions (CAPA), and first article inspections (FAI). This role will work closely with the Quality Manager and manufacturing team to ensure product quality and continuous improvement. The Quality Engineer will also work closely with the Quality Manager in achieving the organization's goal of obtaining AS9100 certification. The ideal candidate will have experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or related industries with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and improve quality processes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of
ISO 9001
2015 and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102c standards.
  • Investigate and resolve nonconformance issues, leading root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action (CAPA) processes.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining QMS documentation, including quality reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and control plans.
  • Perform internal audits and assist with external audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare reports on quality performance, defects, and compliance issues.
  • Train employees in quality standards and best practices.
  • Provide guidance on quality control processes and problem-solving techniques.
  • Assist in development and implementation of inspection plans, control plans, and quality procedures.
  • Utilize quality tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, and Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of
ISO 9001
2015, AS9102C, corrective action processes, and quality management systems (QMS).
  • Familiarity with inspection tools and testing methods.
  • Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (8D, FMEA, SPC, Six Sigma, Lean).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; willingness to continue learning processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2-5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing. Experience with regulatory standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.).
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma certification, or Lead Auditor certification is a plus.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting software (Excel, GSS, or SAP).
  • Experience with FAI, CAPA, and auditing methodologies; strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
