218096 - Quality Engineer 4 Industry MAN Region MO-Missouri City St Charles State MO Rate Up to $84.14 DOE Duration 6.5 M0nths Description Chipton-Ross is seeking a Quality Engineer (Level 4) for a contract opportunity in St Charles, MO.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
(REQUIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
): Minimum 5+ years in aerospace, fabrication, or production/manufacturing environments. 5+ years performing quantitative/statistical analysis, data collection, interpretation. 5+ years working with processes and procedures following compliance requirements 5+ years working with and handling Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads integration of contractual and client Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. Provides interpretation of complex requirements. Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities. Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Develops and implements corrective actions. Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved. Works under minimal direction.
Integration & Compliance:
Interpret and work to work instructions, engineering documentation, and supplier contracts.
Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions:
identify, process and investigate non-conformances
Continuous Improvement:
recommend process improvements and cost of poor quality reductions.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain traceable records, quality plans, certifications, and evidence to meet audit and regulatory needs.
Leadership & Mentoring:
Escalate program risk areas and recommended mitigation plans. Performance expectations:
Onboarding:
Contractor demonstrates understanding of program contractual quality requirements within first 2 weeks and presents initial plan.
Productivity:
Within 30 days, contractor owns assigned NCR queue and begins driving closures with appropriate dispositions. Quality outcomes: Reduction or stabilization of critical NCR backlog within agreed timeline (program specific).
Compliance:
No critical audit findings attributable to contractor-managed areas; supplier audit nonconformities are documented and acted upon.
Communication:
Timely, accurate weekly reports; clear escalations for program-level risks.
Independence:
Contractor operates with minimal supervision and demonstrates consistent decision-making aligned to QMS and contract requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strong verbal and written communication. Ability to collaborate with cross functional team members and internal stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and make risk-based quality decisions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
will be walking around, in between buildings, needs to be able to stand for 1-2 hours at a time.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Accredited engineering degree is preferred) , but not required if the background is right. Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

TIME/SECOND SHIFT
