Automation Engineers - Multiple Openings (Pharma Manufacturing) ???? Clayton, NC (Onsite) ???? Long-term Opportunities We are actively hiring multiple Automation Engineers to support a large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing project. These roles span several process areas including fill/finish, formulation, wash & sterilization, inspection/material handling, and ancillary systems . This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-impact project focused on commissioning, integration, and validation within a regulated GMP environment . Overview of Opportunities We are hiring across the following functional areas: Filler & Isolator Systems (Optima) Formulation / Weigh & Dispense Wash & Sterilization (W&S) Inspection & Material Handling Systems Ancillary Systems (RTP, environmental monitoring, etc.) All roles are hands-on, field-based positions supporting commissioning and qualification activities . Key Responsibilities (Across Roles) Execute commissioning, SAT, and validation testing activities Perform system integration testing and troubleshooting Validate alarms, sensors, interlocks, and process parameters Execute test cases using validation tools (e.g., TIMS / ALM) Support PLC-SCADA or PLC-MES interface validation Identify and resolve automation gaps and defects Participate in FAT/SAT, PQ, and process validation (PfV) support Provide on-site troubleshooting during ramp-up and hypercare phases Collaborate with OEM vendors and cross-functional teams Required Technical Skills Hands-on experience with: Siemens PLCs SCADA systems (WinCC Unified, TIA Portal, iFix, or Ignition) Experience with: Automation integration & commissioning Validation documentation and execution Familiarity with: Version control tools (Octoplant / VersionDog) Thin client environments (ThinManager)
Understanding of:
Equipment automation in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing Preferred Experience GMP / regulated industry experience (pharma, biotech, food/beverage) Experience supporting: Fill/finish operations Formulation systems (tanks, weigh & dispense) Washers, sterilizers, or clean utilities Inspection or material handling systems Experience with:
FAT / SAT / IOPQ
/ PfV activities MES integration environments
