Description
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of products, ensuring integrity, reliability, regulatory compliance, and alignment with specifications.
- Applies total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within each department. Also, the Book of Knowledge from ASQ.
- Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
- Monitors and enforces the quality system.
- Gathers data and performs problem-solving to control and improve the quality of the production processes.
- Develops and maintains control plans and inspection work instructions.
- Participates and documents problem-solving activities related to quality issues.
- Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
- Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material, and devises methods to assess responsibility.
- Knowledge on measuring and testing products and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
- Interfaces with procurement, engineering, manufacturing, customer, or vendors to coordinate and resolve quality-related problems.
- Provides computerized status report describing progress and concerns related to inspection activities, nonconforming items, and/or other items related to the quality of the process, material, or product.
- Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
- Maintains a working knowledge of the latest codes and new developments in testing and examination methods of processes, materials, and products.
Skills & Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 2-4 years of quality engineering experience.
- Specific education and training in Quality Disciplines including Corrective Actions, Total Quality Management, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, DOE, SPC and Print Reading.
- Familiarity with Advanced Quality Planning and Control Plan Standards.
- PPAP requirements, Dimensional studies, and gage/fixture studies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must comply with all legal, safety, and corporate quality requirements.
- Strong proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing skills).
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
