Job Description

DeltaV Commissioning Engineer Introduction:
Our client, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced DeltaV Automation Engineer to support the commissioning and integration of newly installed automated downstream processing equipment within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. This role will focus on hands-on automation engineering, including system configuration, coding, and control strategy development within the site s Emerson DeltaV platform.
Responsibilities:
Configure, program, and support DeltaV automation systems for newly installed downstream manufacturing equipment. Develop and modify batch control strategies in alignment with ISA-88 standards, including recipe configuration and batch module development. Support commissioning and startup activities for automated process equipment, ensuring proper system integration and functionality. Integrate and support automation for downstream processing equipment such as chromatography skids, filtration skids, tangential flow filtration (TFF) systems, and centrifuges. Perform control logic development, system configuration, and troubleshooting within the DeltaV environment. Develop and maintain technical documentation including functional specifications, configuration documentation, and testing protocols. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Process Engineering, Validation, Manufacturing, and Quality to support project milestones and operational readiness. Ensure all automation work complies with GMP standards and site data integrity requirements.
Requirements:
Required Skills:
5-10+ years of experience in automation engineering within pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing environments. Strong hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV, including system configuration, coding, and troubleshooting. Proven experience implementing and supporting DeltaV Batch using ISA-88 batch standards. Experience commissioning and integrating automated downstream process equipment. Familiarity with systems such as chromatography skids, filtration skids, TFF units, and centrifuges. Experience working in GMP-regulated manufacturing environments. Strong documentation skills and experience supporting commissioning and validation activities.
