Unit Fleet Diagnostics & Prioritization Talent Match Recruiting Raleigh, NC Job Details Contract 1 day ago Qualifications Engineering Reporting and dashboarding tools Analysis skills Data management Analytical thinking Full Job Description Job Summary Own diagnostics and asset decisions for a 5,000+ transformer fleet . We are seeking a Power Transformer Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong experience in transformer diagnostics, DGA analysis, condition assessment, and asset health management to support maintenance prioritization, reliability initiatives, and long-term asset planning. This role is ideal for someone with utility experience who enjoys working with both transformer health data and engineering decision-making . Responsibilities Analyze transformer fleet health data and asset condition information Interpret Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) , oil analysis, and transformer test results Identify equipment degradation, failure risks, and reliability concerns Support maintenance planning, repair strategies, and asset prioritization Develop recommendations for transformer lifecycle management Analyze large datasets using Excel, pivot tables, and reporting tools Collaborate with engineering, asset management, and field operations teams Provide occasional field support for inspections, scoping, and technical evaluations Qualifications Utility experience working with power transformers Strong background in transformer diagnostics, maintenance, testing, or repair Experience interpreting DGA (Dissolved Gas Analysis) and transformer condition data Strong analytical skills and experience managing large datasets Proficiency with Excel, pivot tables, and data analysis Ability to communicate technical findings and recommendations effectively Engineering degree preferred; relevant experience considered in lieu of degree Why Apply Support a large-scale utility transformer fleet of more than 5,000 assets Directly influence reliability, maintenance, and asset investment decisions Blend of engineering analysis, diagnostics, and occasional field engagement
